Daniel Haggis, aka Dan The Man, is the drummer and multi-instrumentalist in the Liverpool band, The Wombats. "I spend most of my time playing drums, keys and making warbling sounds in The Wombats," he explains. On his solo albums Dan performed all the instruments and vocals. He also produced the albums himself.
He wrote 'Circadian Circus' mostly in between Liverpool and Paris, when he had a break from playing with the Wombats.
Says Dan of working on that album: "Over the last few years, whenever we weren't recording or I had a few days off tour, I would go into the studio in Liverpool and work on ideas I had lying around on my phone or computer, and gradually this album emerged.”
The album was recorded and co-produced by Rob Whiteley (Clinic, The Night Cafe, The Wombats) and mastered by Greg Calbi (The National, Tame Impala, Father John Misty).
"Circadian Circus is a collection of songs from the past 4 years that made the enigmatic, inexplicable journey from my subconscious, and needed a place to rest," says Dan. "It's an album of acceptance, of coming to terms with things we can't always control." <br>
