Singer/Songwriter Adam Blotner grew up in sunny San Diego where he attended the School of Creative and Performing Arts. Blotner is no stranger to skewering politics, having written 2017’s Trump: An American Musical, which was featured by the Huffington Post, Funny or Die, CAFÉ, Medium, and Broadway World. Along with his wife and co-writer Jenny Pinzari, they have produced a series of political musical videos that in total have garnered more than 14 million views.
Blotner is the creator of Pop Filter, a musical comedy act that satirizes pop music with original songs and characters. With Pop Filter, he has presented shows in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and New York International Fringe Festival, and his work has been recommended by the New York Times, New York Post, and New York Daily News. He has performed in clubs and festivals around the world, including Feinstein’s/54 Below, LA Comedy Festival, NYC Comedy Week, NY Funny Songs Festival, Upright Citizens Brigade NY/LA, The Comedy Store, The Peoples Improv Theater, and rocked the STAPLES Center at an LA Kings Game.
Blotner has been writing funny songs ever since he was nine years old, when he founded his first band, “The Singin’ Salamis.” As an adult, he developed his comedic skills with studies at The Groundlings, Second City Chicago, Upright Citizens Brigade NY/LA, and The PIT.
